Boxeadoras Mexicanas
"Boxeadoras Mexicanas" is an ongoing documentary series that showcases the best amateur and professional women boxers from Mexico. The series is shot entirely on 120 film, and it explores the themes of strength and grace in a sport and country dominated by men. This project is a tribute to the strong Mexican women in my life, including my abuelita, mi madre, and mis tres tías. I aim to delve into the reasons why these boxers fight and explore what makes their experiences unique. The series will capture moments at home with their families, important places in their neighborhoods, and intimate studio portraits.
